 Recreational Rental Equipment
Did you know that the Anoka County Parks
and Recreation Department rents out many different kinds of
recreation equipment, including kicksleds, cross-country skis
and kayaks? For more information on hours, please contact the
individual locations.
All rentals are weather permitting and on a first come, first served basis. Below
is a list of sites and the equipment that they rent.
Bunker Hills Campground Visitor Center -

- Bicycles ($6-$8/hr depending on the
bicycle chosen)
- Cross-Country Skis ($6/rental - 3 hour maximum + $6 for a
daily MN State Ski Pass.)
Chomonix Golf Course (Winter months) - 651-482-8484
- Cross-Country Skis ($6/rental - 3 hour maximum + $6 for a
daily MN State Ski Pass.)
Coon Rapids Dam Visitor Center - (763)

- Bicycles ($6-$8/hr depending on the
bicycle chosen. Helmets and bike locks are free with rentals.)
- Cross-Country Skis ($6/rental - 3 hour maximum + $6 for a
daily MN State Ski Pass.)
- Snowshoes ($5 for up to two hours -
at site only.)
- GPS in conjunction with virtual geocaching program ($5 for up to two hours -
at site only.)
Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Visitor Center - (651) 426-7564
- Bicycles ($6-$8/hr depending on the bicycle chosen), Tuesday - Free bike rental!
Wargo Nature Center - (651) 429-8007
Rental Equipment needs to be returned 1/2 hour prior to closing.
- Canoes ($10 hour or $30/day.)
- Kayaks ($10/hour for single and
$15/hour for tandem, and $35/day for single and $40/day for
tandem.
- Snowshoes/kicksleds ($5 for up to two hours -
at site only.)
