The Anoka County Parks and Recreation Department offers
several ways for you to enjoy a horseback ride through the
parks.
At both Bunker Hills Regional Park and Rum River Central
Regional Park there are dedicated horseback trails.
If you are planning to ride your own horses at Bunker Hills Regional Park, please call 763-757-9445 to verify business hours for the day, as there is a gate that locks when stables staff are not present.
At Bunker Hills Regional Park – the Anoka
County Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with Bunker
Park Stables to offer visitors the unique opportunity to
participate in a number of activities, including; trail rides,
hay and sleigh rides, carriage rides, pony rides, and lessons.
Reservations are necessary for all Bunker
Park Stables activities and can be made with a credit card by
calling the stables at 763-757-9445.
Arrive at least 15 minutes before your
scheduled trail ride. Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled
hay ride. Please wear long pants and hard-soled shoes or boots
if you are riding. Dress for the weather.
