Common Elderberry
This native wetland and sun-loving species can be found growing on wetland edges. The dark berries it produces are loved by a wide variety of birds, who quickly eat up the ripe fruit.Reptiles And Amphibians
A diversity of reptiles and amphibians can be found in this park, thanks in part to the wetland habitat. Listen for the distinct calls of different frogs such as Grey Tree Frogs and Green Frogs throughout the summer.Great Horned Owl
The heaviest of Minnesota’s owls, the Great Horned Owl can be found hunting throughout the evening. Listen for their repeated hooting calls especially from November through February. -
