RESTORING & PRESERVING KORDIAK PARK
Upcoming improvements to Kordiak Park include:
Pavilion replacement: Anticipated to be complete end of summer 2025
Parking lot, trail reconstruction and bridge improvements:
Site analysis is nearly complete and concept design based on the Kordiak Park Community Survey will begin at the end of February/beginning of March. Community meetings will be held end of March/beginning of April for concept design review and comments; and in September/October to review plans prior to creating construction documents. Construction bidding is anticipated end of 2025 and construction anticipated summer 2026.
The Parks Department will be starting the design process to improve the parking lot and trails at the park. In addition, the County is seeking Department of Natural Resources Outdoor Recreation funds to replace the picnic pavilion.
